Global Dark Web Marketplace Activity: Alleged Fraud-as-a-Service Operations, Stolen Financial Data Sales, and Major Database Breaches

Between September 10-12, 2026, multiple threat actors allegedly conducted coordinated advertising campaigns across dark web marketplaces promoting fraud-as-a-service platforms, stolen financial data, and compromised databases. The most significant development is the emergence of 'Debay,' a verified fraud marketplace allegedly offering comprehensive cybercriminal services including database hacking, SIM swapping, cryptocurrency drainers, and social engineering tools. Concurrently, threat actors allegedly advertised stolen credit card data, personally identifiable information (PII), and a major database breach affecting 9.5 million users from Lalafo.kg (Kyrgyzstan). This activity represents a significant escalation in organized cybercrime infrastructure, with threat actors allegedly operating sophisticated marketplaces that lower barriers to entry for cybercriminal activities. Organizations should immediately review their security controls around payment card data, customer databases, and authentication mechanisms, particularly SIM-based two-factor authentication.
