Over the course of 20 years, Lia has gained extensive experience in risk management in the financial sector, has been involved in establishing and managing trade control systems in trading rooms and nostro of financial institutions, as well as in managing digital banking, open banking, payments and more. In her most recent role in the banking system, Lia managed the Discount Group's embezzlement and fraud risk management unit which included managing cyber risks in business processes. A senior lecturer at the Israeli Institute of Finance (IFI) and is studying for a master's degree at the University of Haifa. Lia holds a master's degree in business administration majoring in finance from Bar Ilan University.
